If registration concerto with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta you refer (on the BIS label), the gel has a basset horn, the instrument concerto was written originally made for. Darker, earthier than "ordinary" (A) the clarinet that you would have heard in this concerto, the sound of the basset is unique to itself: there is simply no comparison ..!
